| Programming on the main (PoM) for all CVs besides CV1, allows e.g. easier adjustment of brake distance | |
| Programming on the main for single bits, allows easier control of program switches | |
| Blocking of PoM possible (even via PoM!), avoids erraneous change of important parameters during operation | |
| Reset of important CVs to default values at input of "8" to CV8 | |
| Extended consist control during normal operation, writable and erasable CV19 by special commands | |
| At any time selection between signal and telecontrolled mode with a predefined button | |

| Up to 3.3 min acceleration or brake phase, but also immediate speed adjustment possible | |
| Second programmable speed in signal mode for reduced speed areas (no external equipment needed!) | |

| Alternate braking methods by DC voltage (as Digitrax) or brake generators (as Digitalplus), but not recommended | |
| Exact braking distances in signal mode programmable for each engine | |
| Optional braking in two steps: first down to reduced speed, then down to stop in front of signal by polarity change (no PC needed!) | |
| At two step braking also stop of train by a magnet in front of signal (polarity independent) | |
| Programmable departure delay after signal change (simulates driver reaction time) | |
| Fully working remote control, even in red signal area, for shunting | |
| Very simple shuttle operation in signal mode, without PC, only module controlled (key function of ATL) | |
| Direction change delay after stillstand to simulate cab change | |
| Accurate speed regulation by EMP control, may be turned off (not recommended) | |
| Fantastic course behaviour by linear accelerations and brakings in regulated mode | |
| Instead of linear exponential brake curve, stronger braking at begin, then rolling out to the signal | |
| Programmable motor pulse repetition rate, high frequency output for silent drive and Faulhaber motors | |
| Automatic speed regulator adaption to motor characteristics | |
| Further optimisation of regulation possible by parameter programming | |
| Unregulated operation mode with motor adaptions possible | |
| Up to four independent telecontrolled function outputs C, D, E, F (in addition to headlight outputs A and B) | |
| Allocation of commander buttons F0 - F8 to outputs and functions (function mapping NMRA, extended) | |
| Additional functions in the allocation matrix as main switch, alternative top speed and signal mode selection | |
| Blink or flash function, programmable and allocatable to outputs A - D | |
| Programmable dimming of light and funcion outputs A - D, alternatively gyro light effect | |
| Individual time limitation up to 9 sec on outputs C and D (protection of electrical couplings) | |
| Optional high beam function: at stillstand outputs A/B are dimmed, at departure they go to full brightness | |
| Outputs C and/or D may switch on automatically at departure (for smoke generators, sep. high beam lamps, a.s.o.) | |
| Integrated sound generation for steam and diesel, alternatively to individual function outputs E and F | |
| Many improvments by new sound generation concept (but not real recordings) | |
| Internally or externally triggered steam exhaust, triggering of external sound modules possible | |
| Steam exhaust sound adaptable to 4 or 6 cylinder machines | |
| Sporadic steam exhaust at continuous stillstand (overpressure valve), adjustable | |
| May be switched to speed dependent diesel sound | |
| Optionally load dependent volume control of steam or diesel sound | |
| Optionally steam exhaust at departure to simulate blow off of cylinders | |
| Steam/Diesel sound is heard during whistle/horn | |
| Steam/Diesel sound may be switched off by telecontrol | |
| Integrated train whistle or horn, telecontrolled by predefined button | |
| Whistle may be triggered locally by a reed contact | |
| Adjustable length of whistle period, may be extended by keeping the button pressed | |
| Continuous suppression of steam/diesel sound for electric engines (only whistle) | |
| Main switch to turn off motor, lights and sound, free allocation of button | |
| Automatic detection of supply voltage: Digital, DC or AC, braking with AC or DC, if not opened for | |
| Module keeps last informations stored at power interrupt. |
Actually there are three types of ATLplus engine modules.
ATL2064 the well proven module with EMP speed control. A simple sound generator is included, but not supported any more. Use only ATL2066 for sound. The last SW version is 12 (see CV7). Dimensions ca. 24 x 10 x 4.5 mm. Current max. 1,5 A.
ATL2066 ist the successor of the ATL2064, with new features and improved sound. Dimensions ca. 24 x 10 x 4 mm. Loudspeakers are separately offered as sets with loudspeaker, capacitor, plastic cap and two wires. There are unmounted and mounted versions (see pricelist), with 15, 20 or 30 mm diameter. The use of other 8-Ohm-loudspeakers is possible. Always use a capacitor in series, recommended value 100uF / 6V.
ATL2066p is functionally identical to the ATL2066, but delivers up to 3 A. So it is for two-motor H0 and all bigger gauges. Dimensions ca. 37 x 10 x 5 mm. They are delivered with a thermoconductive foil to be mounted on a cooling surface (e.g. loco chassis). Optionally the module may be ordered mounted on a cooler.
Engines with AC motors (electrical field coil) must be converted to DC, using a permanent magnet or installing a complete DC motor. The ATL2051 with infrared light barrier for AC motors are not offered any more.
